Leeds Pre Match - Friday 3rd November

They were pretty dire against Southampton and Stoke, by most accounts not great for 60 mins against Norwich.

We’re not gonna adapt the way we play so they can absolutely hurt us out wide - it could well be similar to Sunderland but they have quality to finish a few.

Hope we look a little more on it. Wouldn't like to call it, we’re gonna have a bad result at some point and these are the best bet to do it. Should be a top Championship game anyway, glad we have the week to prepare.

Was there any further news on Ndidi? Hope we’ve got Yunus back at least.

Looking forward to the inevtiable influx of Leeds fans on this forum this week telling us all just how good Farke is, and how dangerous their wingers are, and how much better than Ricardo Luke Ayling is, whilst being super patronising about our players/manager/ground/ownership/fans/city etc.

Hopefully followed by us getting a win, and them all disappearing, or re-appearing to tell us how hard done by they were by the ref, and how deflected or lucky our goals were, and that they "definitely won the singing".

...it is also a big weakness for us!!!

We do struggle with a press, even more frightening when we see Winks unable to exert the control that we need. Liverpool pressed us relentlessly and Sunderland was pretty effective as well, QPR exerted the same game tactically and we struggled.

We are predictable in what we do, going long more often is due to not being press resistant as we were earlier, and all teams will now press us more.

That is what makes it interesting…Not only players but coach has to find solutions as the season advances…

This season is far from over, our squad in collecting experiences, and advance on the back of it..

We should be smacking our lips, and not throwing around doubts on obvious errors

as we grow..

i reckon their front five are better than ours

guess we’ll find out !

By front 5, I assume you are including their two 8s as well as the 2 wingers and strikers. So the match ups are, as follows?

Ndidi v Kamara

KDH v  Piroe

Mavididi v Summerville

Fatawu v James

Vardy v Rutter

Which of these match ups do you think Leeds win?

I meant the five they can choose from for their attacking players

Summerville, gnonto, Rutter, piroe, James, gelhardt, poveda, bamford,

ndidi and kdh are not natural ‘attacking players’

their defensive abilities are not on our levels

This will be a tough game but they should be the ones worried about us more than the other way around.

We have 6 days rest now so should go into the game fresh with hopefully 1 or 2 more back from injury.

Hermansen

Ricardo

Faes

Vestergaard

Justin

Winks

KDH

Ndidi/Casadei

Fatawu

Iheanacho

Mavididi

Going for a 3-1 win.

They're going to come and press us like Sunderland did but have the quality up front to actually finish their chances.

However, they are very fragile at the back. Sounds like Meslier dropped a clanger again yesterday and Rodon went off injured, so as long as we cut out the mistakes and sloppy passing we will have enough to beat them. Could be a high scoring game though.

KDH has the most goal contributions in the league, though....

Summerville and Piroe walk into our side. Not sure really of the others.

They seem to have a lot of talent in those areas thought whereas we are a bit lighter.

Of course the table shows that in terms of a consistently performing side, we are very much ahead. But if we are not on it like we haven’t really been these last couple of games, they could easily turn us over. If we are on our game, we should also have too much for them. Overall, to keep the 14 point gap, I’d be quite happy with a draw. Main thing is not to lose.
