Thought we actually created more today than in other similar type games this season. One of KDH's best games of the season and Choudhary was good as well. Casedei reminds me alot of Soumare, just seems to be running through treacle when he's defending and doesn't spot danger at all. Would have Akgun coming on ahead of him in the future

Winks is first name on the team sheet but I don't think we missed him today. Watford didn't press Choudhury with any intensity and made it easy for him on the ball to just keep it ticking over.

 

Second half Choudhury was pivotal. One of the main reasons we got up the head of steam second half was our press and counter press was really aggressive and he was a big factor in that, and not something we necessarily get from Winks.

...you have to ask the question of what he is doing so deep!!!

It must be a ploy by Maresca because it helps no one and I cannot see Nacho being happy to play that way. He appeared to have been coming alight before being substituted, and playing to his strength, that is linking the play is all he needs to be thinking about.

What a bizarre analysis.

Apart from the fact that winks isn't really a creative player, certainly not in the context of the system we play, today we had 23 shots - I suspect that's more than we've had in any game this season.  I mean TWENTY THREE shots - how much more creative do you expect us to be?

Enjoyed that… in the end. Frustrating lack of class at times - lots of sloppiness. Like they’re too casual. 
 

immense at the back. Vestergaard class. Loved Wout’s mazy dribble. 
 

Kelechi is dreadful at the moment. 
 

Watford absolutely dreadful. Seemed to have given up before they even started. 
 

J3 the quietest bit of the ground I’ve ever sat in. Only me and my lad singing until we scored the first. People nattering about their weekend plans for most of the game. Was a bit embarrassing.

24 shots is the official threshold for creativity.  I thought everyone knew that.

Oddly, first half, when nacho was coming deep, ricardo was pushed out almost as RW - must have had something to do with trying to beat their heavy man-to-man tactic.

The missed chances I did not like but the difference is they were trying and it was clearly vexing the players so up went the gears and intensity and we blew watford away. These are the gears and determination we needed in the last few games. Glad the boys have found their mojo again. Oh and hell has no fury like a Vardy scorned!

(now hope Ipswich starts fumbling today)
