First minutes on the pitch for our new guy....not surprisingly he performed a bit like a loose Cannon 😳

You see there are people on FT who will moan about Daka no matter what he does. There were people wanting Ndidi gone. Vesty gone etc etc. takes all sorts I guess. 
 

On the flip side there are those who think Daka could actually be quite good, given game time. I’ve watched every game this season and that was one of the better performances by our loan striker so far. 
 

Personally I’d be for giving the lad an extended run, but that’s Enzo’s decision. Vardy is in serious decline and sometimes appears, well, a bit shit if I’m honest. Nacho, for whatever reason, appears half arsed at best he’s occasionally good but more often frustrating. 
 

Maybe it’s time to give Daka a run and just see what he can do, rotated with Canon or the other two. Can’t hurt can it.

FWIW - If we use OPTA ratings as a yardstick, Vardy's best showing (7.8) was the blackburn game, where he scored, hit the woodwork had a key pass, chipped in with a couple of interceptions. that said, he only had 29 touches of the ball and these 2 shots. He played 76 minutes.

Nacho's best game was Stoke (7.65) - 43 touches, a goal, 2 key passes, but just one shot. 77 minutes

Today Daka played 62 minutes, registered 29 touches, 2 shots, 1 goal, an assist, a key pass, an interception, a clearance, and a rating of 8.14.  Despite hardly having played all season.

Just for Daka being a pure professional and playing well when called on, he deserves to start next game. Enzo obviously felt he wasn’t up for playing in the championship early on, but Daka has proven he is willing to step in now

I wonder if Coady is starting to get a bit pissed off? I think he would probably understand that Vesty is a contender for player of the season so far and Faes has to play, but yesterday Ben Nelson got minutes ahead of him…

 

If he is getting a bit down, hopefully he keeps it to himself and we keep on hearing what a model pro he is.

We have a plethora of talent at this level probably unmatched in the history of the 2nd tier , the likes of Praet / Daka would comfortably be for any team at this level and even lower premier level first choices. But our squad depth is insanely good. The sooner we get to 80 plus points and then we navigate the remaining points needed for the title.

Actually - the cut doesn't do the situation credit. At that point we had succumbed to quite a bit of pressure and we had a few wobbles due to their press. We weren't passing it around comfortably at all, and i remember Faes gesturing like he he did at 3:13.  I don't agree with 'punt the bloody thing out', but we had a wobble at that point and Plymouth were getting back into the game.

 

Silly thing is we should have been at least 2-0 up at that point, and could have had 3.

Probably one of the best things yesterday(all my sorrows seemed so far away)was to see all the subs used.For a while we had 4 fresh players basically upfront who all wanted to score. Praet looked very tidy and moved the ball and his position very well.Still think he is the business but needs to stay fit and well.
