Great performance and a great way to start the year. Brilliant.

Funnily enough I'm sure this was the same ref who was getting good reviews last time he reffed us at home but can't remember the exact game

He’s very comfortable on the ball, looked good in tight spaces playing it quickly. Definitely better in that 8 position. After seeing him today I’m confident he’ll be okay whilst Ndidi is away.

This is such an underrated ability from a ref. Notice it time and again today with both sets of players. Ref is a former player himself and it shows. Simple things like that is what helps to let games flow and keep control without having to stop play every 2 minutes.

Apparently he played non league to a pretty high standard before taking up the whistle. The game needs more ex players taking their refs badges.

As others have said thought the ref was great which makes a refreshing change . Good to see Doyle back on the pitch,. Cannon looked very promising  in his first start lads only 21 so looks like another good bit of business . As for Casadei I thought he was poor first half but actually got better as the game went on still need more from him though .
