There's 2 parties to the negotiation. Don't think you can slam the club without knowing the details of those discussions and why they broke down.

How dare you bring logic into this mate? The bedwetters in this thread can't comprehend this alL RuDkInS FaUlt

Oh yes I’m sure he’ll be buzzing to sign for us after we’ve promised him the world then sacked him off through our own sheer incompetence.

what's the definitive truth? Maybe it was Inter being dicks and we didn't sell our players cos they wouldn't agree contracts elsewhere or interested in going to the clubs looking? Everyone is leaping to the worst. Maybe it'll turn out that way. This transfer wasn't the be and end all for this window. we've got enough players to keep us going, and still win promotion at a reasonable canter.

The one positive from yet another Leicester City deadline day absolute shit show is that this gives more opportunity for Akgun to cement a place in the team. He looks miles ahead of Praet with regards to urgency, to pressing off the ball and ability on the ball and he can score a goal or two.

According to Percy it was a loan agreement

so not a permanent

I reckon we tried to squeeze the deal down on the basis we couldn’t afford anything

and inter wouldn’t move more than they already had - we just assumed they would

amateur hour

As Teapot been saying all day, needed someone to leave. As simple as that. Tried to move goalposts on Inter like you say

Of course last January, we had Perez in a contractual situation very similar and let him go for nothing

This says that the deal has hit the rocks because Leicester have “less margin than they thought for Financial Fair Play”. If that is true, and we only just realised this, the club fully deserve the anger and frustration of the fans on this one. Sheer incompetence, if true.

Wouldn't that be due to the fact that we couldn't offload anyone? So instead of cancelling the deal, we've just tried to fudge the numbers to make it work somehow? I'm genuinely clutching at straws here

Can debate whether Maresca's football will work at the next level all we want, I'd bet money he won't be our manager the next time we kick a ball in the Prem anyway. Nothing to do with his ability to manage a football team I just can't see anyone having the ability to put up with our shitshow for more than a season.

How about: he was a luxury signing who wasn't worth risking breaching FFP for, who will still probably be available in the summer on a free.

People in meltdown because we haven't seen it through, but maybe that's because the club aren't idiots who are prepared to føkk everything just to have a player who we don't really need coming in.

It's not exactly a mystery.

Mind boggles how simpletons in this thread struggle to comprehend this.

Too late, the club has already been slammed by folk who know nothing about what’s gone on, so just write their own narrative.

We've kept KDH and have the best squad in the league.

Other than Brooks to Soton no-one else has done much in the market.

Hope wilfs back sooner.. but until we know the truth on this, rudkin can keep his head

Do you actually seriously believe that a manager in his biggest ever job, on a no doubt massive salary, with a team at the top of the championship, looking at promotion to the premier league - would quit because the purchase of an average player with a history of injuries fell through at the last minute?  Or are you being ironic?!

Get your cardigans out Qwerty.

Scott Parker will be our manager by next week

Anyone entertaining the possibility that Inter are the ones dicking around with this? I'm not saying we're totally blameless but it also looks like they've been trying to squeeze every last penny out of us for a player they barely play and who is leaving for free in the summer anyway.

It seems more than reasonable - there's no reason why we would sabotage something that benefits us, whilst every reason for inter to try and call our bluff and ask for more than we feel is right, or that we can afford.
