If, as you said, Lawrence is desperate for Lance to win a title then they surely wouldn't let Alonso win.

 

It's why I find it so baffling as the only way would be no.1, and therefore able to challenge, would be for a team mate like Deletraz being introduced which makes spending on Newey pointless.  Lance is bordering on Latifi as the most inept drivers of this generation.

He's potentially sabotaging any good chances they'd ever have of winning a constructors by picking a driver who is so far off the required skill already so not sure it's "mental".

I reckon that’s exactly how it would happen. 
 

Signing Vettel and then Alonso was just recruiting really good tutors for Lance. 
 

It would be a bit like the 99 season where Eddie Irvine was fighting for the championship but couldn’t,, for the life of him, win a race by himself - so needed his better teammate to get seriously injured, replacement teammates to hand wins to him, or everyone else to crash out.

I don’t get this, Damon Hill was on for the title in 94’ and denied because Schumacher crashed into him… he deserved a title…

Mental stuff. 

 

If Schumacher hadn't broken his leg he would have been the clear no. 1 driver and Irvine would have had to help him try and win the championship. 

 

It had nothing to do with the Ferrari boss wanting Irvine to win at all costs over Schumacher.

Also mad that the whole league conspired to give us the title in 2016. Why has this never been looked at? I think Arsenal or spurs should be given the trophy to share

Two weeks of “Oscar must help Lando to win the championship” only for him to bottle it again.
 

Norris is a busted flush draw, he just doesn’t have what it takes. Piastri is already better, whatever the points difference he’s probably more likely to challenge Max!

Probably still get a points position but won’t be competitive at the front .
