Players giving shirts

I’ve noticed that the players often give match worn shirts to the kiddies after away day games, but never at home games (that I’ve seen anyway).

 

Is there a reason for this? Just curious.

They hate kids so want them to smell their sweaty dirty shirts.....apart from a few that never even break a sweat

They all leave 85 mins into the game at home?

Possibly that it's a smaller group of fans and just in one area, so it's easier to select a kid to give it to? No idea, just a thought.

I’ve picked up on this too. My instinct is that they’re thanking them for the travelling support?

I remember reading somewhere that the  home shirts are often given to charities to auction off..

I'd imagine some of it is down to the extra appreciation of travelling to watch the game.
