Ah, the memories! 2 October 2004 was the day we moved to France, and that evening we were having dinner with some friends with whom we were staying.

Absolutely vital to the too. 

How tf did I forget this. Surely its in the top 3 of the lot considering the occasion, what was riding on that and that he's a centre half. No keeper in the world was saving that.

Wow, longer ago than I thought. If you’d asked me I’d have said maybe 2006. That spell between relegations to and from the Championship are a blur of 1-0 home defeats to Rotherham and shit signings from Scotland! 
 

Lonergan still playing for Everton too!

In 1922 Chester Alberto, Clapton Orient's famous Milano Midfield Magician, scored a stunning goal against us. Standing directly in the path of a goal kick dropping into their penalty area he swivelled on one foot to, on the volley, do an overhead butterfly kick that completely bamboozled our keeper, Harry "the Hands" Ponsonby, sailing clear over his head and hitting the back of the net before touching the ground.

 

Or so my great-grandfather used to say.

I was looking & searching for this..well done..

Bergkamps history on top goals against us are burnt in the memory,but

this one from Arsenal….

Remains IMO probably the top team goal ever  scored against us….


 

Though unfortunately again Brian Dear,from W.Ham was our nemisis

in the late 60s scored scrappy,(quagmires) super Sunday roast goals,

but another I can’t find where W.Hams legends created a great team goal.
