Nah, he'd have ended up injured and we needed that money for Fofana. Kasper leaving was the big one.

All Rodgers needed to do was either play Soyuncu ahead of Amartey(who to be quite honest was not as bad as some make out), or played Iversen ahead of Ward, we’d have gained at least two extra points. Forget Fofana, this was on Rodgers.

But equally it has become apparent that Fofana’s knee is made out of marshmellow. It looks like a good deal now I think, as unsure he would have stayed fit with us. Although a fit Fofana at the club no way we would have gone down.

The moment some twat decided VAR was a good idea and it was implemented, because without it Chilwells goal stands and we're left to see out a final with all our attackers off the pitch. And likely miss out on the FA Cup.

Definitely. Was terrible at the time and I remember thinking we'd be stuck in the bottom leagues for years, but really it turned out to be one of the best things that could've happened.
