Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

Recommended Posts

where does he get 90k/week from ?

If he estimates average wage of 30k for admin then that leaves £158m for the 87 playing staff

if we say that 55 of those are not first team squad so average £2000/week then that brings us to approx 150m for the 32

= average 90k/week for the first team squad

wow!

Hypothetically speaking….

If we actually get promoted.

We are then forced to sell players albeit they aren’t worth a lot now. they’ll be replaced with free transfer so the quality isn’t as high.

Massive points deduction.

Are we getting relegated back to the Championship on minus points?

There was a comment made to the Leeds journo at the Athletic, that we're fine.  We would have been close to failing were it not for the sale of Luis Sinisterra but with that sale, we're fine.

Guess we'll know more in the coming days but nobody around the club seems at all concerned about it.

I would suspect you aren’t fine but like you said, we’ll see.

For a period, we were running the club to satisfy Rodgers. No signings but got to ensure we don’t sell so we do not upset him further. January transfers when there shouldn’t have been.

Alongside everything else, these turnips made it so that Rodgers was far bigger than the club/badge.

We’ll be paying for their mistakes for years.

Don’t think the wages do

I think he estimated the same for the previous year

I just didn’t believe it so went through it with assumptions and got to the same place as he did

As much as we can hate on Rodgers - he doesn’t agree the wages we pay players or set a wage budget bigger than revenue.

Based on the those numbers we had no interest in meeting the FFP requirements - we absolutely deserve our fine.  It does take time to correct overspend but hopefully whatever division we are in getting rid of a load more players at the end of the season helps with a reset.

Admittance of breaking the rules - does the left hand know what the right is doing?

I still reckon they are claiming to be within the rules by allocating £200m in allowable losses to COVID, women's football, training ground investments and youth development.

I reckon 3 years ago, they didn't think these claims would be overly scrutinised and will now be in an argument over reasonable losses with the PL.
