If he estimates average wage of 30k for admin then that leaves £158m for the 87 playing staff if we say that 55 of those are not first team squad so average £2000/week then that brings us to approx 150m for the 32 = average 90k/week for the first team squad wow! We are then forced to sell players albeit they aren’t worth a lot now. they’ll be replaced with free transfer so the quality isn’t as high. Massive points deduction. No signings but got to ensure we don’t sell so we do not upset him further. January transfers when there shouldn’t have been. Alongside everything else, these turnips made it so that Rodgers was far bigger than the club/badge. Finn Claw II Posted 2 April Share Posted 2 April As much as we can hate on Rodgers - he doesn’t agree the wages we pay players or set a wage budget bigger than revenue. Based on the those numbers we had no interest in meeting the FFP requirements - we absolutely deserve our fine. It does take time to correct overspend but hopefully whatever division we are in getting rid of a load more players at the end of the season helps with a reset.
