Seems mad for getting points back for cooperating

Surely Chelsea and Man City get the book thrown at them based on this when their cases come to be heard.

They probably also mentioned that they won the European Cup twice and play at the World Famous City Ground, and followed it up with a quick rendition of Mull of Kintyre.

That should have got them a couple of points back.

People are running away with this.

Before you guess what is going to happen to us, we need to be a) charged and b) see the accounts, as nobody knows the details.

And c) promoted

They won't 'clear off' though, will they? They'll still be in the PL and dominating proceedings even if they're in the super league as well.

Tell them its either the PL or super league and they can only have 1 not both. Greedy twats. Imagine the amount of money theyd bring in if they are in both

Well! Nothing to worry about then! If Forest were only hit for 4 points, despite signing in excess of 11,000 players in an eighteen month period - we should get away with just a ban on half time cups of tea.

Oh, wait; we are Leicester City (and someone's got to be made an example of.)

The government is trying to introduce legislation that would mean clubs couldn't be part of a European closed shop while still competing domestically. If they succeed in passing that legislation, it will kill the European Super League stone dead. No PL club would choose to abandon domestic competition.

So seems Everton were docked 6 for provided incorrect information. So that sets precedence for 4 points being for breaching.

I think the precedence is actually 6 points for the actual breach

Id just rather they go. Us winning the league (great for us) but bad for the rest. PL dont want anybody to do a 'Leicester' again. Its bad for the brand.

Or maybe they both got docked a point for every £10m or part of they were in breach, and Everton got an extra four points docked for providing incorrect information.

If we're working out from the two instances that it's between 4 - 6 points per breach, how long will it be before a team decides it's worth spending that extra £m for a player and offsetting 4 - 6 points as part of the process by gambling said player will earn them back the points they would lose.

Us winning the PL was fantastic for them, the whole world followed the story. Too many people on here are angry about the outcome of something that hasn't started yet.

The PSR rules are going to be scrapped anyway, so it's a bit of a moot point.

Chelsea haven’t breached psr yet

they can sell £120m of their academy players in June

Man City is way more complex than overspending. They didn’t overspend- but they likely overstated their income via excessive sponsorship deals.  That’s going to be tough to prove.

Honestly I'm unsure if anyone knows or if they're all grasping at different straws.

As per usual, Sky seem completely lost with what's happening

Good job we've been highly cooperative with the authorities....

I know we told the EFL to get stuffed but 1) it's not our fault they wrote their own rules wrong and 2) I think we can make a great case that we have been cooperating - given we didn't sign anyone in summer of 22 and sold players like Maddison and Barnes quickly

January 23 might have shafted us though...

Nice juicy, fat brown envelope will soon sort that out!

Supposedly they are looking to change them to players wages, and agent fees, and transfer dealings, not being higher than 70 per cent of the income a club brings in.

So basically the smaller clubs who don't have anywhere the revenue of the bigger clubs, will have even less chance to compete.

Sounds even worse to me.

Seems they are picking numbers where the team are likely to stay safe. That makes them 1 point from safety and i would still bet on them scraping though it. 6 points would have made it that little bit harder.

Knowing our luck next season is the one where the PL don't care and are willing to go harder on clubs.

Of course they are, if a points deduction sees a team go down it’ll probably open up another can of worms and lawsuits.

Looks like that was effectively for an early plea

Seeing as we seem to have a bit of a habit of not co-operating / trying to find loopholes not sure we will get this lol

Maybe the Premier League should implement a rule that if you lose your appeal the deduction is increased. Would put clubs off appealing and mean that it’s more likely these instances are solved during the season, rather than after the last game.

Ie. If Forest appeal and their appeal isn’t successful, then the deduction increases to say 6 pts

This sounds like throwing further crap on top of a steaming pile of existing crap, in the hope that you'll somehow end up with a smaller heap of crap
