He may be a surprise success, but if not then he'll be up for loan or sale in a few seasons and he can get his football career on track again IF it goes off the rails a bit being at such a basket-case club. Everyone knows Chelsea are nuts so won’t hurt his career to much if he doesn’t get on straight away there. So many clubs are having to watch their finances around PSR and look at Villa selling luiz for under £45m - he’s a top top midfielder, international with champions league on the horizon and established in the prem - none of which KDH is. He was excellent last season and disappointing not to see him in the prem with us but be interesting to see if he makes it at Chelsea ! finally if this means it’s -3 or less rather than a 9+ point deduction then it’s a good deal - now we can move on and build for the season ahead ! 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Just pointing out that the stats don't necessarily back up the claim. Gallagher played a lot more attack minded when at Palace than he has at Chelsea an WBA but you can't discount the fact he's up against better defenders/defences in the Premier League. Stayed last season, was our best player and helped get us out of what would have been years of transfer embargoes and points deductions in the second tier.
