Yeah mine has just come, almost identical to the card already being used and with the exact same details on the back. Piss take really. As for the letter lol I feel for those that can't see through the bullshit.

It's the same just without FBS on it.

Still no need to charge £25 for the card nonetheless

All of this is being done whilst the relative strength of being a Premier League club is present and demand is higher. It will just take a spell of Football League decline, which certainly isn't out of the question, and the interest will decrease. We are a well supported club but not too long ago empty seats were large in number.

Easy for the top clubs with guaranteed Premier League football and worldwide fanbases to make their presence felt and not suffer. For the rest, it is a precarious game.

Such a scheme has already existed in the UK. It’s effectively what Club Wembley is

Ooh, what’s it cost?

Avg cost for a Dallas Cowboys PSL is $3400

Of course, despite lack of success, they are still considered one of the big boys of the NFL

£9k to £13k at Wembley. A number of the larger stadiums have in place for the UK - Emirates is one

Wow

Amazes me people will pay that much just for the right to then buy a season ticket.

They’re really pushing for Mobile Ticketing aren’t they.

I’ve had 2 emails in the last 2 weeks inviting me down to “try it out”.

No. I don’t want it.

You're lucky! I've had 2 in 2 minutes!

Ha ha .  Lucky is one word.  I have multiple emails trying to flog me everything from mobile tickets, to appalling Hawaiian shirts to stadium tours to a 372 quid hospitality experience.  I'm just waiting for the day they will email to offer me a reasonably priced ticket.......I may be waiting some time .

Why? Just out of curiosity. Surely it's easier to have everything in one wallet on your phone than loads of individual cards you could misplace. In my opinion the problem is the £25 charge not mobile ticketing. So many people now pay using their phone so what's the difference?

Much like "a load of individual cards" you can also misplace or even break your phone and in my case my phones battery hardly last over half a day without needing a charge, if i'm out all day, there a chance that doesn't last.

And my 1 experience of Mobile Ticketing? I took someone as a guest last season and had to have it on my phone (shame because the person I took as a guest wanted a ticket as a keepsake) I sent them in on my ST Card as their ticket was on my phone, I scanned my phone, didn't work, I then had to run down the ticket office where they printed me a ticket. Atleast the person I took as a guest got their ticket to keep!

Also, last Friday's "IT Glitch" should perhaps be a lesson to the world.

Ultimately and quite simply, I just don't want it as many others clearly don't.

I tend to agree/sympathise with you.

I have no issue getting "my head around" how to use these things but I just don't like how the world is going.  I know for a fact my parents wouldn't have the foggiest about mobile tickets or apple wallets and have no inclination to learn.

I like a ticket.  I like a person to serve me at checkouts, I like to pay in money to a cashier at the bank not to a machine, i don't want to register an account to buy something and remember ANOTHER password, i dont want to create a profile and book an appointment to go to my local tip......I could go on but i wont as im off topic a little already.

My point being I'm not particularly old(40s) and it might not be difficult to use but I also don't want my whole life online.  It's about data collection and control.  If you like the tech, fine, use it, but it shouldn't be the only way to do things and a free choice should be offered.

The global outage the other day baffled me.  The world existed before the internet.  Why wouldn't these organisations have manual back up plans in place?

Anyway. Rant over 🤣

Edit....I'm aware of the irony that I'm spending my time online posting this 🤣.  But I chose to.  That's the point

There's a bit of an epidemic of people having their phones ripped out of their hands by cyclist/moped riders and the having their bank cleared.

I spent an hour in the bank with my dad,
as he had to transfer some money. I couldn't resist
myself and asked...
''Dad, why don't we activate your internet banking?''
''Why would I do that?'' He asked...
''Well, then you won't have to spend an hour here for
things like making a transfer.
You can even do your shopping online. Everything will
be so easy!''
I was so excited about initiating him into the world of
Net banking.
He asked ''If I do that, I won't have to step out of the
house?”
''Yes, yes''! I said. I told him how even groceries can
be delivered to your door now and how Amazon
delivers everything!
His answer left me tongue-tied.
He said ''Since I entered this bank today, I have met
four of my friends, I have chatted awhile with the staff
who know me very well by now.
You know, I am alone...this is the company that I need.
I like to get ready and come to the bank. I have
enough time, it is the physical touch that I crave.
Two years back, I got sick. The store owner from whom
I bought fruits, came to see me, and sat by my bedside
and cried.
When your Mom fell down a few days back while on
her morning walk, our local grocer saw her and
immediately got his car to rush her home as he knows
where I live.
Would I have that 'human' touch if everything became
online?
Why would I want everything delivered to me and force
me to interact with just my computer?
I like to know the person that I'm dealing with and not
just the 'seller'. It creates bonds of Relationships.
Does Amazon deliver all this as well?'''

When you put it like that it makes you realise what a cold and lonely world we’re heading for.

I'm being serious here......my daughter has friends online that when she sees out in person she's says it's awkward to just walk up and say hello.  They text before approaching each other.  It's not just her either.  Not really kids fault either.  It's the norm.  It's now I wonder whether I should have been firmer on the no smartphone rule when she was younger.  But damned if you do damned if you don't.  Refuse to get them one and they are left out

If it was, say £10, would people still moan about it?..

I think £10 would have been palatable for people... I think anything £15 and under would have got much less of a backlash.

It’s so sad, I’ve heard other people saying similar too.
