I've never understood this view.

Since 2003 they've been in the league 3 times and finished 9th, 17th, 19th.

They were successful until the turn off the millennium. I don't even remember them being a decent outfit, so to suggest a team who have done **** all for a quarter of a century are a big miss is laughable

Nonsense view. The league is better when it's competitive and teams do well. Brighton, Brentford, Wolves, Palace and I daresay even Forest have contributed more in the last few years.

Leeds didn't actually hit 40 points either season they came back up. They're Huddersfield.

Leeds BBC correspondent both embarrassing and delusional this morning on Radio 4. Apparently for him last night was their best ever night at Elland Road, and he thinks they can back to competing for Champions League 🤣

I thought our fans were bipolar but Leeds are on a different level.

Agreed. Simply riding on fairly ancient history

This is a qualified (fairly credible at this level) manager who seriously thought he could base his whole plan on one of the worst away form teams getting a win at one of the best home form teams.

Essentially threw the first leg (most crucial) away.

Take away the hope, I think anyone with even an inclin of football knowledge knew that Leeds were going to win that comfortably.

Feel for the fans, that's criminal.

Hoping for a Southampton win tonight as I think they'll give leeds more of a challenge that WBA.

Assume you mean any of the three seasons they came back up? They did get 59 points, finishing 9th in their first season back.

Man Utd fan reminiscing about old battles with Leeds.

You risk your relevance Crafton, and no you cannot wield the “speaking as a fan” shtick as you have made yourself a commentator first and foremost by working as a football journalist.

Purely from a Midlands point of view I hope WBA can do it.

Soton won't want us to go all that way and win 0-9 again and who, in their right mind, really wants Leeds?

Tbf I think I’d prefer Saints to win because I think they’re a better team than Leeds if both teams bring their best. And also, I know we hate him, but imagine the Leeds meltdown when Brussell denies them promotion.

I'm yet to come across a football fan that wants Leeds to go up. (Bar Leeds fans).

I hope they lose in the final in the 89th minute to a deflected shot off the cross bar, rebound back off the keepers head and in the goal. Specific I know

Would better if Sam Morsy randomly wandered onto the pitch, it hit his ass, then hit Lief Davis’s chin who arrived to escort Morsy back off the pitch ending up dribbling between Meslier’s legs and into the Leeds goal.

Could happen.
