Iversen probably got a big Salary increase after his performances under Rogers which now makes him out of the reach of a lot of championship clubs.

Surly he's worth 3 million even as a Premiership back up. Or a number 1 overseas.

As always it won't be the fee. Its the wages that kill most deals.

Did he sign a new deal ?  If not then he wouldn’t have got a salary increase of any note

I'm not sure but given his performances after Ward wouldn't you be looking for an increase on your salary.

Top up are not uncommon without changing the rest of the Contract.

Still on the contract he signed whilst on loan at Rotherham in League One

Wages should be well within range for most Championship clubs

Plausible move. Sure he played for Warne at Rotherham on loan, and Derby have released their first choice keeper from last season. Would be a great move for him - and us. Get a fee in and wages off the books

its definitely plausible and he’s get to stay local which would be a bonus.

I just  hadn’t heard anything about it.

Would have thought he's had a gut full of loan moves now. I'm sure he would prefer a proper "home" with a club if feels comfortable with.

100% but we price him out of any permanent transfers.

We could have sold him to Palace for 4m in the summer.

He will go out on loan and then leave for free next summer.

We don't learn our lessons.

Absolute stupidity, he's back on his PL wage now as well where as last summer it was more attractive for prospective buyers.

He's a good keeper,  someone will want him. Might have to be a loan , and if he want to actually play he's going to have to swallow.

Wards going to be the new Conrad Logan isn't he

There's no way Anstey Nomads will want Ward.

We seem to have the mentality that if some offers 4m we want 6m, if they offer 6m we want 8m.

He would have been pure profit as well.

We have turned down at least half a dozen offers the players would have took in the last 2-3 years for squad players.

Yes because clubs maybe happy with the wage but not to pay the fee we want as well.

I would guess the reason we turned. Them down was they would have been an automatic loss on ffp psr.

They would have been a reduced loss instead of turning to profit, (not taking account of wages saved).  Reducing a loss is effectively a profit over expectation.  The club needs to learn they will need to at times cut losses instead of expecting a profit on every transaction.
