Great manager, and comes across as a classy, intelligent and charming guy. His tactics and man management in 15/16 were nothing short of genius.

Was quite upsetting how it ended but it's great he's been back in the meantime and we've shown our appreciation.

His personality shone through at vital stages in our greatest season. He seemed to be able to deflect pressure away from the players and managed the media

Genuinely nice man, no tired managerial clichés, no arrogance, didn't make wholesale changes as lots of incoming managers do, played the affable daft old man for the cameras but was obviously way more savvy behind closed doors and this protected the players from a lot of the pressure and he was just very likeable. You can see why the players gave everything and more for him.....oh and he happens to have a premier league medal in his back pocket..... Oh and he is mates with Andrea bocelli!!  What a guy 😂

Thank you Claudio.  Enjoy retirement

Are we sure he wasn't Irish because he could talk like the Fairies.

He's was a natural leader of Men.

He let the players get on with it and just encouraged and cadjoled them when it wasn't quite working.

The greatest compliment I can pay him is he was intelligent enough to leave what Pearson left him alone.

He was never bigger than the players and they respected him for it.

Your legacy will live on forever and thank you for the great memories.

Enjoy your retirement. x

Unbelievable for us.

He also comes across as a genuinely nice, warm individual that goes completely against the idea you have to be some kind of emotionless military general (Capello) to be a manager.

Great example to other managers and leaders in all walks of life.

Sky News have done a nice montage of Claudio in our title winning season. You know what the title meant to him, when you see him tearing up away at Sunderland. I hope he has a great retirement and hopefully see him at the KP,  now he has the time.

Pure masterclass management how he handled that early Arsenal defeat, we became counter attacking kings and kings of the EPL.

Agree...No team of his concedes five goals...it changed after that match

The transformation of the back four was one of the most impressive things I've ever seen in football. I think it was about 10 goals conceded in the second half of the season and very few of them came from teams playing through us, they were mostly good balls into the box catching us out, e.g. Aguero, Wellbeck, the West Ham goals. And that's with a defence comprised of two free transfer full backs and two relatively slow (stressing relatively) centre halves. It was awesome to watch.
