Managerial Replacements

Recommended Posts

It’s an attractive post for a number of managers. Despite the FFP situation.

We are losing our entire coaching team, a real opportunity to stamp your mark on a club and a DOF who is more than willing to be led.

I’m all on board for Carlos now!! great coach… especially after failing at Olympiakos and coming back stronger at West Brom. Feels like he’s ready for a big job now

Did you watch West Brom in their two play-off semifinals against Southampton? They were awful in both.

No way Potter or Moyes come here.

Need to be more realistic with our targets.

Agree potter won’t take it but moyes 100% should do - straight back in - he didn’t want to leave West Ham - I think he would relish the challenge- we are a decent job and prem jobs at good clubs don’t come around every day

If Moyes is an unattainable target, we may as well just sack everything off and fold.

He wasn't twiddling his thumbs whilst an assistant at Man City!

Big difference  between being one of many 'assistants ' to the responsibilities of being the Manager, incomparable!

Not that I think he is a contender, but those touting cambiasso can kiss Vardy goodbye. No love lost there and can't see jv signing on if he was appointed.

My understanding was that was Vardy's initial feelings but he eventually bought into his approach which was after all, the right one. However, as Vardy isn't currently a player he doesn't come into the equation.

Cambiasso is extremely doubtful and very left field but I'd sooner it be him than a good number of the others in the betting like Marsch, Wagner, Parker and Southgate etc!

The club should be hellbent on getting Moyes in. Not an exciting appointment but needs must. The least risky option.

The club won't go anywhere near Moyes. Maresca was appointed to play a particular style of football, as were Rodgers and Puel before him. Top wants us to play passing football, and we have assembled a squad that is designed to do exactly that. The plan was very much to continue playing that style in the PL. The plan is not going to change just because Enzo is no longer around to implement it - we will 100% be going for another manager who favours possession-based football. Moyes is not that manager so he is almost certain not to be considered.

West Ham were not long ball merchants in any way - played as much as most - and marescas style was nothing like bodgers or puel who played 433 with actual full backs - yes they tried to keep the ball but that’s as similar as it gets-  marescas style was completely unique and everything revolved around it - we aren’t going to play like that no matter who we get- also don’t agree we have assembled any squad to play that way at the next level - moyes would play as much as we could whilst making us harder to beat - marescas style at this level with our players would have been a complete disaster
