The target is obviously to stay in the PL but we have to be realistic this could be an impossible task, so we need to appoint a young long term manager that will manage in the championship.

Corberan gets my vote.

As an absolute minimum the club has to sort out it's finances this season so if we go down we're not facing points deductions in the championship to give us the best chance of going straight back again without more points deductions once PSR is replaced at then end the 24/25 season.

These odds are pure guesswork. There is clearly nothing coming from the club - probably because the club itself has no idea yet who our next manager will be.

It's based on where people are putting their money.

I've got a feeling that I'd like Robins to come in, his football seems pretty decent at Cov and I just think his manner is what we need for what is more than likely going to be a scrap this coming season.

Potter for me is a non starter, I'm sure he'll be holding out for the England job. Don't know too much about the foreign coaches, and Moyes would be a step backwards in terms of the style of football Top wants. Wagner isn't good enough and Lampard is no better than Rooney

Out of that list though, I'd probably be willing to give a chance to any of them left bar Cooper. I just don't know what his managerial style is, I'm not sure even he knows.

I don't think he's got the metal in him for a proper scrap, and he doesn't seem to stick to one tactic, it's alright having a plan B but at times with Forest he was going for plan BB.

He would quite comfortably keep us up and progress us

That's conjecture - conceded 74 goals last year with a much better team than we'll have

He should be anyway, his style at Brighton was painful and they struggled to score goals with it. It was the same at Chelsea, goal record was embarassing averaging a goal a game over almost a season. Would Brighton fans want him back? .. https://www.northstandchat.com/threads/if-graham-potter-is-re-appointed.408210/page-7#post-11151815

With the prospect of a record points deduction ... no funds to spend ... we either need divine intervention or a resurrection... to give us any chance ...  we need to go for an out of work manager ... no point in paying compensation for a dead man walking .... the owners and directors need to step up and be totally honest with the fans .... after all we will be there long after many have gone

My mate whos a Brighton fan has been up for the weekend. Absolutely doesn't want Potter back at all. Went through long periods without scoring and didnt like the football.

Interesting how differently managers are perceived when they manage your club vs others.

Robins would be OK with me

Couldn't get the 'best team in the Championship' promoted

We're not though.

Like any team, we have some good individuals & when they perform we looked good.

But not consistent. Leicester had that consistency so did Ipswich.

When Leeds appointed Farke I thought fine, he got Norwich promoted twice & I don't like Norwich cus they seem to ride promotion so often with all the luck then don't invest & go straight down to pocket the parachute money.

But on how Farke sets his side up its boring & just relies on the odd brilliance of a player.

His plan B is to throw 5 up front & hope, all usually too late.

Hence do that in the prem & you'll get stuffed which explains Norwich failing twice in the prem.

So basically I don't have any faith in Farke at all.
