Some people are so limited - Potter ffs. Just want to relive Rodgers’ last 12 months all over again.

Pretty sure the only reason anyone says Will Still is the fact he’s English and was in the Daily Mail. There is 0 reason why you’d say him over someone like Fabian Hurzeler

That nobody else has said Marcel Rapp confirms to me nobody else on the forum knows anything about football.

Fabian Hurzeler's done amazing at St.Pauli from relagation fodder to promotion to the Bundesliga.

Everyone reckons he'll have an amazing coaching career and seems born to coach plus he's only 31

Moyes would be as popular here as Puel, he may have experience but he's not someone who moves teams forward. There's a reason he's barely won anything all his managerial career.

We don’t need a long term appointment just someone for a season or two until the club is sold.

We are in the Puel phase though of needing to stabilise the team in the league. Else we'll become a yo-yo club again

Cooper seems to be highly rated, linked with Palace and Brentford jobs recently. Can probably excuse the issues he had at Notts due to their basket case of an owner.

No chance we get Thomas Frank btw, he's destined for a club with European footy. Would have been a good get a couple of years ago.

I'd be tempted to try and take Dyche from Everton, with their financial problems (bigger than ours!), it's worth a go. But that doesn't fit with the "play like Man City" whims of our esteemed owner.

oh please.........for goodness sake!

Honestly don't really care as if he does well will end up at a big 6 club next year anyway.

Hopefully someone that plays a similar style and can work with what is available

Honestly, just anyone who can take us into the Prem swinging a few punches and keep us within PSR and FFP will do. We may start on a negative balance and it will be an uphill battle everywhere. Spending loads on a Moyes or someone else drawing a big buck could bite us in the arse. I would rather take a gamble on someone cheaper and hope they can give us entertaining football whilst giving it a damn good go.

Moyes would be a safe option for us, and imo would keep us up quite comfortably.

2 Year Contract. Get us through this mess over the summer, with a point deduction coming and a big squad shake-up needed on a tight budget.

Sack him off like West Ham just have, when we are comfortable again, and get someone more exciting in. Harsh but fair!

I don't like him much, but I dislike the Championship more, and I think he knows how to keep a team up and will bring in the players this summer for that.

No doubt will be underwhelming. And you can forget any stuff about "building for the future"- let's see how patient this place and the ground is if we have six points after 10 games.

We need to take a leaf out of Wolves book. Their last manager left them suddenly just before the season started with a decimated squad.

They brought someone in who got them working hard and created a way of playing with what he had.

Our appointment doesn’t need to be glamorous - he needs to be able to do the same two things as O’Neil.

Can we remember we are going to get a points deduction, likely to either sell players, or not buy anyone… maybe both. (Or just ignore FFP).

We are not an attractive proposition to anyone who could get another prem job like your Potters, Moyes etc.

We are only be attractive to a flop, who nobody wants. A foreign manager likely to not get a prem gig, a coach looking for a promotion to manager, or an up and coming manager from the lower leagues who gets a big pay rise and even if we went down we’d be a bigger and better club than the one they are currently at.
