Feels like we are doomed next season regardless whether he stayed or not. Please don't replace him with Frank Lampard!

10 threads on this already deleted tonight.

If it's not confirmed by Morrison's night shift manager at Chelsea Village Express, then there shouldn't be a thread.

Apologies if I've got it wrong but aren't Sky Sports as reputable as necessary?

Not announced by either team and Telegraph are saying it will be tomorrow. You've had a case of Premature Exposition here OP!

Mods, take him away!

that’s the spirit!  Don’t let anyone  tell you otherwise!!

I'm only thinking in terms of the points deduction and no money to spend, if rumours are to be believed anyway. Would need a miracle to stay up.

With this and also Kompany going to Bayern, maybe there's a shortage of elite managers today. Nobody wants Conte, Mourinho, Allegri etc with their terrorist football so big clubs are going for managers with limited experience and limited success.

Conte is apparently going to Napoli.

All the nonsense in the media about 5 years being too long. The length of the contract is irrelevant unless you know if there are pre written severance/break clauses in it

it’s just a means of them saying that this is our man for the long term and we’re invested in the project - long term.

If the team don’t  perform over the next twelve months he’ll be out of there.

Indeed, it might well have a 12 month termination clause in it.  Meanwhile.... Alan Pardew's eight-year Newcastle deal ends... what has happened since he signed it? - BBC Sport
