I think fans in general underestimate how difficult a linesman decision is. We see it with benefit of replays and stills. In real time that's actually close?

I agree that some of them are difficult to call but not on that occasion surely?

It’s really tough at this level

on a Sunday morning you can hear the ball struck so you can pretty much always be looking along the line - with a crowd you’ve got to look in two directions at once - top class linos are amazing

Speed of the game at this level is insanely quick though. Hard to say at the comfort of our sofas.

You're probably right though. Easier said than done I guess

This seems exactly the kind of game where the team in the lead doesn't do enough against the weaker opposition (on the day). They don't do enough to kill the game off. The weaker opposition then score late on and nab a draw.

Yann Sommer is a quality goalkeeper, very reminiscent of Kasper Schmeichel in size and skill.

Yeh he's a good keeper. Getting on a bit now though at 35, but still good.

Loved everything about that first half performance from the Swiss.

Controlled possession, excellent in the press and well organised defensively.

Xhaka is having a field day so far.
