How can anyone argue against that penalty shout being given? lol if that was Leicester we'd be going wild.

Armstrong gets it wrong by not shooting sooner, but it takes nothing away from him being wiped out.

After that though, when you're relying on Grant Hanley to bend one in to get you through, you pretty much get what you deserve.

Similar to deeeney

So nice that those weird lot are on the end of it tonight and I’m not. Might have a drink, but then I’m not as petty as them

They’re utterly pathetic in these tournaments. Even Northern Ireland have gotten out of the groups more times than Scotland in major tournaments even though they’ve only ever played in 4.

Surely the biggest underachievers ever when you consider some of the world class players and managers they've produced, and their relative wealth and decent facilities compared to many European countries.

They were something like 5th favourites to win the 1978 World Cup.

They are also part of the 5th richest country in the world.  Joined at the hip to the biggest and best professional football league in the world.

Them, Wales and Northern Ireland are unacceptably shit IMO.  Just look at what countries with population sizes such as Croatia, Netherlands, Belgium are able to produce with far less resources.

Mental.

He’s getting in a better position to shoot and the player literally knees him in the leg.

For me, he moves away from the ball and across the defender to try and win the penalty

Scottish players were second behind Germans in European Cup / Champions League goals scored all the way until 1993.

Armstrong deliberately stepped across the defender instead of trying finish and in doing so attempted to draw the foul to win a penalty.

Ref got it right IMO. I don't care what head stamper Shearer has to say.

Hungary deserved that in the end .

Had the better chances in a poor game .

Hope the Hungary  lad is ok.

German TV saying there was an offside in the build up, hence no VAR review of the penalty apparently.

Armstrong was offside, wasn't he :dunno:
