Disagree, they’ve been fairly average imo. Its just we became too passive after scoring.

Hmm. Their passing has been more direct, they've moved the ball up the pitch better than we have and haven't sat back after scoring. They've got a lot more intent about them.

If Trent starts and Southgate wants midfield cover then he should have been trying him in the Ricardo role in the friendlies.

It was worse when he used to play a back 5 and still have 2 defensive midfielders but even now we don't need a back 4 and 2 people playing just in front. The personnel we've got should be able to play keepball from the Danes. And we should be camped in their half.

Need a striker that is aggressive, can score goals and playa with passion. What Rio has just described a prime Vardy

He was criminally underused.

Winning teams are exactly that. A team.

Whenever I am boring my friends about Vardy (which is often) - I swear that we'd have won the 2018 WC with him up front instead of Kane. But Kane is absolutely undroppable and always has been. His record speaks for itself/himself. He's not good for teams.

Vardy was carrying a groin injury at the 2018 World Cup and was rendered ineffective because of it.

Is it in the job description as England manager to pick unbalanced side with players out of position.

Watched this on rinse and repeat for the last 30+ years.

Woah!! Venebals in 1996 played a balanced team.

It's amazing how many goals Kane scores considering he's never in the box.

You can blame him, but you also need everyone else to be further up the pitch. Kane has worked well with Rashford because he goes over the top, Saka needs to do it more.
