I think that's likely, but so long as at least one of them isn't a bot, that's obviously no reason not to take stuff like this with the seriousness it deserves.

 

Could also be edgelord trolls saying something horrible for the sake of causing the trouble they thrive off and they don't actually "mean it"... still no excuse.
