Just to put into perspective what exactly Southgate does: He thinks this team can win the tournament by playing almost the same way Greece did 20 years ago. The guy is one of the biggest frauds this sport has ever seen.

So what's the point calling all these players (a lot of them of world class quality)? It would have been more honest to just call Championship and League One players and have them play the Greece 2004 way.

This is an epic disaster and FA is liable for this joke while we've been ridiculed globally. The worse is still to come also.

Get yourself off the fence and tell us how you really feel, man! :D

James McLean still remains anti English in his remarks on Irish TV. Making remarks about Declan Rice swapping ROI for England, accusing it of a stepping stone move... BS... It's called playing for your country of birth... Rice tried it and realised ROI was crap at international level and probably felt what's the point playing for another nation when they qualify nowt. When an English player swaps England for ROI, it's a pat on the back from both camps... Let's just say if Rice found it he had a Dutch grandfather and swapped from ROI for Holland... no way McLean makes these remarks.

Kane whining about being criticised by people like Lineker and Shearer. He has such a feeble mentality. No wonder he's a perennial loser

It’s actually a pretty stupid line for the players to take really - it massively puts the pressure on the team to perform from here on.

Edited to add missing word to sentence!

Serious doubts emerging over whether Luke Shaw will play any part in the tournament. And no other left-footed full back in the squad. Genius.

Called this pre-tournament. You don't need a worldy player - just somebody used to playing there and in familiar systems. Germany have done this with Mittelstadt. We should've called up Tyrick Mitchell.

This is all very pre Southgate. Stupid pitfalls.

The Irish Joey Barton, bang average player that comes out with controversial drivel in an attempt to stay relevant.

Perhaps one day we might be able to make cracks about Germany that don't involve an event 80 odd years ago that has naff all to do with today but is seemingly an obsession with those who didn't even come close to fighting in it.

Not today, though, apparently.

Back in training with the squad.

"He is agile, fast-paced and looks as good as anyone else on the ball."

Fingers crossed for the knockouts and the gamble could have worked out quite nicely.

Great news. My depression re: England has now lifted and I'm starting to convince myself we're going to bloody well win it!! :yahoo:
