A photo from the Bradford at home programme. 

The first game after he had returned to Arsenal.  There is an interview with him where he talks about his time at the City, and about the emotional farewell at his last home game.

He talks about how welcome he had felt at the club, and his delight at how the fans had took to him, and that the club would always have a place in his heart.

He goes onto say, how the City scarf that he had been given on his last appearance, and seen in the photo, was now pinned up on his wall at home.

Clearly he went on to carve out an excellent career at a number of other clubs, where he spent far longer, and i suspect that we were seen as only a very small part by the end of his career, but it was nice to read the interview, see the photos in the programme, and relive the impact that we had on him, and he had on us at that time.

Just to say what everyone else is saying RIP. He was bloody brilliant during his short spell with us. We had a few good players back then but a very poor leadership. There’s loads of players I’ve forgotten about but Campbell would never be one of them.

I went that Blackburn away game too.  I can still see him dancing around the goalkeeper, and rolling the ball into the net for our 3rd goal.

He was a superb loan signing, easily the best we've ever had.   And by all accounts a really nice lad.

Thats celebrating hard. Literally limbs  

 

I remember someone telling me that after our equalising goal against Swindon in the play off final the bloke next to him broke his ankle. The first aid people were trying to get him to go and get treatment but he sat there in a cold sweat refusing to move

Very sad news. I remember well his last game and lap of honour. He had a great loan spell with us and the fans took to him instantly. RIP Kev lad.
