Cov ballsing it up at the final fence and Derby dropping would help put something positive on this season.

Leeds fans always said that the beginning of last season didn't count...now they're counting the whole season lol

I know it will probbaly get me some stick but i still think pitch invasions are one of the worst things about football, especially in this country lol

Just wondering why, given they happen in lots of countries.

Just think they come across as forced over here, noone really knows how to act once they get on the pitch, it allows bellends to act like dickheads with the opposition players or fans, i don't think the players enjoy them etc.

Just my opinion though, for non league Cup wins I can get on board but otherwise they are not for me.

First time i've seen Championship clubs sack a manager as soon as things are mathematically wrapped up.

West Brom and Norwich last night/today.

Guessing maybe they both want to get ahead of other clubs who have their eyes on managerial targets.

They're shit and performative in this day and age.

The minority of people go on for the sheer, pure joy. Most people go on for one of the following reasons:

  • To go and goad the away fans
  • To go and goad the opposition players
  • To get a selfie with the players
  • To get a selfie with your mates for the engagement
  • To get on TV
  • Because it's the only acceptable time you can and get away with it
  • Because it's fashionable

Ironically the most authentic invasion I can remember is the Watford one against us in 2013. Not even the final whistle, the celebrations to that goal. A true spontaneous outpouring of joy. Not a load of people shuffling down to the side of the pitch with 5 minutes to go.

You're dead right, too, about what to do when you're on the pitch. When they're not accosting the players, opposition, away fans or TV cameras, there's just a lot of... standing around on the pitch.
