Fans Have Their Say - VAR

Recommended Posts

My biggest issue with VAR is it has slowed games down and made goal celebrations less spontaneous and hasn't delivered on what it promised because of fundamental issues with the way the game is refereed and frankly a lack of common sense and competence.

VAR just needs using what it was made to do not Fuched up by the PGMOL fuchwits who couldn’t organise a game of ping pong properly, it needs Ex players along side officials who are taught in how to draw a straight line properly and how to sort a decision in 40secoonds let alone 7min every time there’s a call for VAR !!

Ex players

Hopefully not any of the pundits who seem to take a very lack view of the rules especially when commenting on their old team

Ahead of the Premier League meeting tomorrow. this article is worth a read, as the writer spoke to fans from each Premier League about VAR, including us

LCFC have "noted" our survey results

But will the clubs listen when voting ?

Fans have their say: Is it time for the Premier League to scrap VAR? | theScore.com

The Ipswich quote is interesting here too: The upside is that blatant cheats who throw themselves about will be punished.

Yes I thought that would happen too, but it hasn't. Just means someone goes to a screen, says yes there was some tiny contact, and gives the foul anyway.

They won’t need to draw any lines next season .

Which might help .

It’s more likely be sponsored, ad breaks added and to be really commercialised than scrapped

"VAR!!! Brought to you in stunning hi-res Blinkervision from (insert tech giant).

Making the important decisions, so that refs don't have to! Why not enjoy a drink from our concessions stalls while the decision is made?! You'll miss none of the action as our helpful stewards will notify you when the game restarts. Bet now on how long before a decision is reached! (Always gamble responsibly.)"
