LCFC Women 2024/25 Season

People get there knicker in a twist, season doesn't kick off until the mid September.

I think the problem is that this has been going on since the middle of last season, whilst the teams on pitch performance was capitulating. September kick off or not we still have no manager let alone a sniff of bringing in new talent. That is very concerning.

Two different issues.

Club was left in a dreadful position by Kirk, and a little blindside.

I can understand why they didn't appoint mid-season knowing they were safe.

Now is the time to get the right person.

I suspect we have someone in late July.

Seems to have a reputation for developing players, which could be important for us.

We need to get a conveyer belt of players coming thought and develop more of our own.

Not sure what style of football she plays to be honest.

But we do need to really try and kick on, seems 2 step forward, 1 step back at the moment.

Unless Palace overhaul their squad - and so far it appears they've just been renewing contracts - they should be firm favourites for relegation and Leicester should be ok for another year.  2025/26 would be a different matter as I'd expect Newcastle to be in WSL and they will take it seriously.  Leicester's best hope then might be an expansion to the league which has to happen at some point as a 22 game season and 1 (often very predictable) relegation spot isn't great.

On the managerial front I wonder if Leicester have been sidetracked by Casey Stoney becoming available.  I doubt she'd be interested but it would be remiss of them not to investigate the possibility.  Might be a short conversation though!  Around 10 weeks until the new season, so they've still got a couple of weeks to make an appointment before it becomes a problem.

New manager is close to being announced I’ve heard, not a clue who it is though.
Only players I’ve heard linked is Ale and Mace.
Not sure a trip to Australia is the best idea either, need players in, only have 4 midfielders at the club, one of them Pelgander who has barely played.

Going to be a long season I think.
