PL 24/25 Fixtures

Recommended Posts

Worth noting

November 9th - Manchester United away - likely to be a Sunday due to Conference League participation

January 25th - Tottenham Hotspur away - likely to be a Sunday due to Europa League participation

A bit worried that there are a couple of runs of 4 or 5 games where you wonder where we'll pick up any points (on paper)

But, this is the PL and anybody above 15th looked reasonably strong last season.

Can see a mini league of the 3 promoted teams and maybe Brentford and Forest battling for survival.

Bournemouth for me will struggle if they lose Solanke.

I'm always a bit anxious when a run in is that kind.

It means your fixtures are probably stacked earlier on, it's OK having the games coming up to get you out of trouble but psychologically it's not great to be in trouble in the first place and that's far more likely if your easier fixtures aren't til later in the cycle.

You're not wrong but I think the nature of the PL is such that you are generally going to have a rough run of games at some point. Not having it at the start or end of the season is probably as much as you can ask for.

Particularly the start of the season. If we got a tough run of games in the first 3 months with us likely to be starting the season a few games behind, it could have been disastrous for a new manager coming in.

With this, how it is, we should be able to get back into positive points and hopefully get a bit of momentum going before that rough patch hits. Then after it, we can assess where we are before having a right go in the last month with some winnable 6 pointers.

What actually happens when we play Spurs, and they don’t have Kane?

Im confused? Who’ll score all the goals against us?

Son! He loves a goal against us. Hat-trick in the season we went down.

Never had a birthday fixture in my life. At the 32nd time of asking, I get one, and Forest are going to send us down on it. Fantastic!

Or, it could be the day we send them down, and it will a double celebration for you.:scarf:

Usually Son, but I imagine Maddison will also chip in.

I also looked for my birthday fixture and it’s the same as yours although the year is very different! 😫

So we get to play spurs first on tv with Maddison having a point to prove whilst our more special fans continually boo him, can’t wait!

And Winks with a point to prove as well.
