The club is very special.

Most of us were less than excited by Claudios appointment at first and look what happened then

If he had never been the manager of Florest, would we feel differently about him?

 

I wonder how much of the negativity I read and hear is more about this, than his perceived ability....

The negativity I've read around his history with Forest is pathetic.  Let's grow up a bit and get behind him.

It was for me, after watching us against Southampton and with the players we have I think playing counter attack is the only way we stay up. After thinking it through I was against cooper just for being ex Forest but after his interview I’m fully backing him

Any news on who his back room staff will be ? His Forest group were hired while they were sat bottom of the Championship. Hoping we can encourage a better collection of back room staff to support him.

Henry Winter on TALKSPORT this morning speaking very highly of Cooper. Spent time with him with the England under 17s and really couldn't speak highly enough about his techniques. 

 

When I think back to that awful day (which always makes me feel physically sick) in the FA Cup against Forest, we had a complete juxtaposition of a hungry, well coached and passionate Forest side up against the petulant, mismanaged tossers under Rodgers. 

 

If he can create that mentality here I really think we can do something special under Cooper.

In dubai for a few days , Had a drink with the Dad of a current forest player, his lad has been there a little while and has had a few clubs 

 

He said his lad stated Cooper was the best manager he ever played for and that the squad was filled with players who had no loyalty to Steve and effectively forced him out when he kept sticking to his reliable trusted players he signed 

 

Said the Chairman would text the players and ask how they liked training and stuff,  underming Steve 

 

He said Cooper rebuilt the club and many of the forest players who played for Cooper feel Leicetser have pulled off a serious coup moving for him

I'm coming around to the idea the more I read in to him. He sounds like an honourable guy and haven't heard a bad word said about him from anyone who has come across him.

 

I liked his interview, he sounds well up for it and sincerely happy to be managing the club.

I'm going to reserve opinion until I see how we set up but he's come across well so far. Would have much preferred corberan but there we go. Deserves us to get behind him.

 

Also the Forest thing is irrelevant, but I don't think that's why most people who have negative opinions don't want him. I think feeling very underwhelmed is a fair reaction.

I'm being reminded a little bit of when Pearson went to Bristol City and didn't immediately get results. 
We have a lot of fans who are questioning the appointment, and a huge amount of Forest fans telling us we are lucky to have him and to keep faith. When Pearson went to Bristol City, a lot of their fans especially at the beginning when results didn't come immediately were thinking it was a sideways step and they had loads of Leicester fans telling them to be patient because he will build a foundation and come good. 

In the end, Pearson was one of the only people seemingly holding the fanbase together, the majority were absolutely gutted when he got sacked. 
Both scenarios seem strikingly similar. I hope the Forest fans are right.

'Grow up'? You're expecting too much, we're football fans. Maturity isn't abundant. It's tribal, we are tribal. It's what makes it different from other games/sports.

Swansea fans seem to like him fairly well, obviously there are a few that dont. He's arguably England's best ever youth coach due to the world cup win and many of the players in the u17 win seem to still have a strong relationship with him after all these years such as Guehi, Foden etc.
