Like him or not, Cooper must be pulling his hair out at this point.

Mentioned this in another thread but imagine the scenes if he quit because of our lack of transfers. Nobody would take the job if he left like that lol.

His press conference will be a laugh a minute. Bingo card here

-: We need more help for the players that are here

-: We will have to continue to play players out of position

-: The players know they need help

-: we don’t have enough depth

-: We’ll have to go with what we’ve got

-: We’ll need the fans on board with us

-: I don’t really know what’s going on about new signings

-: I hope we’ll be able to get something done soon

-: Spurs are a really good side and Ange is a great manager

-: We’ll do our best to be on the front foot

I think it's very close. Had a feeling for three or four weeks now. He's clearly been sold down the river.

The subsequent full, independent inquiry - led by that renowned judiciary figure Judge Rudkin Whelan -  will no doubt conclude that the resignation was unfortunate and note Rudkin and Whelan conducted themselves throughout with distinction

I don't think he will be so polite. His previous interviews have been mainly through local channels. Tomorrow he's got the opportunity to really apply pressure to the club on a national scale and make them look a bit daft, I think he will protect the players and put a lot of questions at the boards feet with some not so subtle hints that they need to sort it out sharpish.

The one thing he's almost certainly not going to do is quit - it's the only way for him to lose in this situation. Keep us up and he's done a good job with his reputation increasing accordingly. Fight bravely against relegation but end up going down and he can point to the squad not being good enough, as well as him being the ideal fit for taking us back up. We absolutely stink the place out and his position becomes untenable, he gets sacked with a nice juicy payoff while still being able to reasonably blame the board/squad.

I've no doubt he's frustrated but unless he's got a better job lined up - which he won't have - there is no good reason for him to leave. A few people were convinced Rodgers would quit as well when he was complaining about the squad to anyone who would listen and unsurprisingly he came to the conclusion he would rather get paid a lot of money to **** off than do it for nothing.

He would be well within his rights to do that as well. Nobody would complain.

The stick he will get after we get thumped on Monday but Rudkin won’t get a thing - makes me sick

I'd like to think the Blue Army would sympathise with him and the shitfest that he inherited, and vent their ire towards the hierarchy. Steve is already working with one hand behind his back, and that's without PSR.

Yep I think there’s been a shift in realising who actually is to blame here

No chance. Would you? He's on a three year contract.

If I was Cooper I’d lay into this board tomorrow at the press conference and then submit my resignation.

The board are clearly lying to the managers about the money we have to spend.

Would love him to do a Parker and force them to sack him and walk off with compo, he'd be a hero for calling out the shambolic hiersrchy

The amount of respect he would gain from the City fans for doing this would be incredible.
