Steve Cooper - New Manager

Recommended Posts

Felt a bit sorry for him over the Summer. I said a few times that he’s working with a squad of very low end PL players so needs decent backing.

But watching him not start Mavididi or Ricardo in the very first game at home…
Nah, he can get in the bin now.

Isn't this exactly what people wanted when enzo went? (second half)

Yep. Far better 2nd half, given the pre season we have had we can hope with a couple more signings and a few more games under the belt we may improve further.

Cooper is now walking around the pitch applauding the fans.
Saw him also doing the simple stuff like waving his arms to fans to get them going when we put the pressure on, you can see little moments like that and how he's applauding the fans now how he gets fans on board.

There's a lot of negativity about a manager who has steered us to 12th (on alphabetical order)

Sadly, I expect it to be our highest league position of the season.

Whoops.  Negativity slipped in

I am being the sad guy who posts.on his own post.  In off the post...

We're up to 11th (on alphabetical order).   And we've played a game.

Just took responsibility for the poor first half.....been a while since we had a manager do that.

Yes, I was impressed with the honesty in that interview to be honest.

If we have more 2nd half’s than 1st half’s he’ll win me over.

The jury is still out though.

Also he wasnt afraid to fix it at HT as well.

We were exciting when going forward, was nice to see us using possession efficiently.

Sweating buckets in his post match interview. Needs to work on his own fitness.

I know tv lights are hot and being a football manager is a stressful business, but it was very noticeable and a bit odd!

I do not want to ever see Soumare as 10 ever again Steve

I’ve no idea where Soumare was playing when he came on.
