I'm not sure there's another player in Europe on the market with stats like this who is available right now. He might not be able to convert it into the Premier League right away, but given his age, it's likely he'll come good sooner rather than later.

So why have Newcastle let him go?.....that's 27m profit for them....a player they loaned out last season

No one wants any of their other players they want to sell and he saves them from PSR. My guess is as you said before, he’s not played a game for them yet so less crippling than losing Isak or Gordon.

So two days after Villa sign a player for 35m from Chelsea, Chelsea sign a lad with 12 first team appearances from Villa for 20m

 

 

 

i believe this is what the prem meant when they talked a about reciprocal deals to help each other beat the PSR regulations.
