This seems like such a strange move. Sideways at best, surely?

5 year deal for the player, that takes him to 33/34.

And if you don’t sign someone for £30 million without a comparably expensive weekly wage so, it’s a retirement deal that can’t really be refused by Andersen.

Broja to ipswich in a strange deal. Obligation in place but broja hasn’t agreed the deal, so if they stay up he can still say no to them, or them just low ball him to get out of it.

Daft from chelsea really.

So it won't actually be an obligation, rather an option to buy. But journalists are reporting that as an obligation; can't beat football journalists for their intelligence lol

Payrise and sign-on I presume. But yes, difficult to argue otherwise.

Signing on fee, pay rise, security of a long term contract and won't have to move house, change the kids school etc. No life admin required. Still playing Premiership football.

Must be a clause or two in it saying if he is rubbish but they stay up Ipswich don't have to sign him?

Wouldn't that mean the deal would just be an option to buy - similar to what most Italian clubs choose, then don't bother pursuing it or try to knock down the transfer fee?

Palace are going to be crap this season, Guehi and Anderson will both need replacing and surely means Eze will push for a move late in the window now.

Olise, Guehi, Anderson and Eze all in one window. Wow.

Yes guess so.

Maybe the media have it wrong.

Been linked with a few but you'd think they would want to to be certain of getting them first.

Ipswich got 3 players on loan now - presume one will have to miss out in the match day squad as you are only allowed 2 apparently.

They are:
- Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time.
- The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time.
- Premier League clubs cannot loan to another Premier League club a player they have acquired in the same transfer window.
- A Premier League club may loan not more than one of its goalkeepers to another Premier League club.

Football is truly broken

The crazy thing is, as far as I can tell this is so that Atletico Madrid has the money to sign Gallagher; which because he's homegrown makes this deal worthwhile for them balancing their books. Disgusting club, I really wish nothing but the worst for them.

Saw a stat today that they have 191 years of contracts and their books within the playing squad. The second in that list is Spurs on 97!

It is utterly ridiculous

That will probably equate to over £1 billion in wages - How do they get away with it?

Man City may pay 70mil for Eze, using the Alvarez money. They was linked with him at the end of last week.

I can't fathom Andersen moving to Fulham.

And where do Fulham get their money from? 3 big signings - ESR, Andersen and Berge.

The bloke who owns them is the guy who owns the wrestling or something, must be fairly wealthy
