Sadly Monga and Nyoni would be as close to the first team at clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal, Man United as they would be with us and they are far bigger and better. The only way we can keep a hold of these talents is to guarantee gametime but the whole way the club is run is that our youth players have to beat the odds to get a chance.

Yep. If you were them or their parents would you feel positively about their prospects seeing the way Alves, Braybrooke and even Nelson are having their progress stalled? No, or no significant, game time but being held back from loans.

 

There have been good Championship loan offers missed out on because Cooper 'wants bodies'. Criminal.

@ramadaone @Holly B any news on Braybrooke and Alves loans? Both surely need to go and play.

I am sure it was mentioned earlier in the summer that there was clubs looking at him on loan? Definitely ready for one I think

Yeah and there was talk he was thinking of leaving but as he's signed a new deal you'd imagine a gentleman's agreement is in place.

The club needs to try and build a good loan relationship with a club like Burton or Mansfield (so still pretty local), so we can give them 1 or 2 good loans every season
