Squad needs sorting out. 5 of that squad really need loans, or people like monga and Jake Evans will stagnate

So Alves is either due go out on loan, injured or we are just not playing him competitively due to his contract. Otherwise surely he'd be involved in games like this.

I think this would have been a good game for him to play in as Burton aren't allowed to rotate heavily so would have been playing a competitive League One side

Definitely some strange omissions from this squad that surely can't just be down to them training with the first team squad

 

This game is better for them to play in than the under 21 games

Sammy could play for a top club at League 1 level easily, tbh I think he could even do a job for a mid-table Championship side.

Braybrooke, , Richards, popov, and arguably Briggs and cover all being wasted at this level now. Can’t see any issue with them playing league football.

Honestly, with the lack of attacking options, can’t see why he wouldn’t be in and around the first team. Always plays with confidence and has that arrogance about him that you need. There absolutely no point keeping these players if your never going to give them a go.

From the first half think Braybrooke, Cover and potentially Richards have sold themselves well for a decent loan move off the back of this
