That goal he scored v Lens would not be scored in the premiership. That is my point. £30m for a low end premier league standard player is too much.

Considering we have spent £25mil on Skipp and £8mil on Ayew £30mil for this guy would be a robbery.

You’re correct, he wouldn’t score in the premiership, considering the “premiership” hasn’t existed since about 2001.

Jamie Vardy would say it's slow.

Never in his wildest dreams has Vardy been able to carry the ball or hold it up like Ioannidis.

They're just different players. Why even compare.

Usain Bolt thinks Jamie Vardy is slow. Eliud Kipchoge thinks Usain Bolt is a pussy for only being able to run 200 odd meters without dying on his arse.

Apologies. Premier league. £30M for an unproven greek league standard player. Has Slimani vibes to me.

Have you even watched him play.

On what planet is he anything like Slimani. He's six foot and Mediterranean that's basically where the comparisons begin and end.

You might as well liken Landon Donovan to Romario.

No.

Planet Earth and an unknown quantity like Slimani.

So you want us to spend £30m on him.

Don't understand your other remark.

Completely different play styles for a start. if the most you can say is "they've not played in the premier league" just go the full hog and start saying he couldn't do it on a rainy Tuesday night at Stoke. is the signing a risk? yes, every signing is. Doesn't change the fact that his profile is impressive and it is the sort of signing we're desperately crying out for

If we're comparing it to Slimani then, taking into account how transfer fees have grown over the last 8 years,  if we bought Slimani today we'd have probably been looking closer to £60million
