Really don't know how to feel. Want to be excited by this, almost raised a smile. But just don't want to see smug Southgate justifying himself and being heralded a genius by tournament football fans. 

 

 

He's done the bare minimum, really. Two one goal wins, a penalty shoot out victory and two draws.

 

Had some luck, some strength off the bench, excellent penalties and a soft run of matches. Switzerland and Slovakia should have beaten us but failed to finish the game.

We played well against France in 2022 and lost and both Italy in 21 and Croatia in 18 we should have won too

If we face Netherlands next we’ll have to improve a lot to not lose that, and then if Spain can get past France, I just don’t see us beating them. BUT there is always a chance.
