Oh dear lots of stuff being thrown by naughty Austrian fans.

No, you must be mistaken. Only the English would do that.

Educate yourself about how well behaved European fans are please.

Sadly, reputation precedes the English there. And the responsibility for that lies only with the ones that did what they did to give them a bad name across the years.

On topic, superb match!

Watching this great game makes me wonder: what's more painful—hammering rusty nails into your kneecaps or being forced to endure full match replays of England's matches at this Euros?

That's a hypothesis that really isn't worth figuring out :P

The kneecap one has to be more painful imo

I'd say it's a close call. I can imagine Southgate's games being used at Guantanamo, non-stop and you must watch.

I would call that discrimination but yeah I certainly understand it will take time to get rid of that reputation

It's a wildly undeserved reputation in the modern era. The English have been the best behaved fans in Europe for years now.

On a more general point, I think this has been a great tournament for organic fan culture. Germany's relaxed attitude to flags, banners, standing etc have really added to the action on the pitch. Doesn't feel anywhere near as sanitised as a regular international tournament.
