Dead right! So many tournos are won by teams who ponderously keep the ball, defend resolutely and have a couple of players who can score from anything.

Italy used to make it their trademark

Would usually agree but these two teams are so dysfunctional offensively, it’s hard to see them scoring equal or more goals than Spain

I do think this is Southgate's aim as well.

Ferdy is OK. Jenas has nothing worthwhile to bring

And Danny Murphy on comms I don’t mind Ferdinand though

Ferdinand is partly the reason we’ve so much Ronaldo nonsense on the coverage

I definitely agree.

If it helps to lead us to glory, then definitely so be it to be honest.

Just watching the game with my two year old, he's turned to me and asked "daddy, why are two nations so stacked with offensive talent and resource turning out this rubbish?" I don't know what to tell him

If he’s using those terms at two years old, get him on the list for Cambridge now!

The only pundit ( and I use that term very loosely) worth listening to over these Euros was Cesc Fabregas …..

I enjoyed Mendieta on ITV. Pity he's ditched the floppy David Guetta esque barnet

It is a hard watch though

It’s a horrible watch. I want England to beat the Swiss but I’m not looking forward to watching ‘a good game of football’ with any excitement

Can you opt to call a friend?

I'm sure Garreth can answer this question.
