Wow. Mauricio Pochettino is taking the USMNT job,  A coup for the USSF here - they actually got one right (and ponied up the dough). By national team standards especially, Poch is a great manager.

 

We have enough talent to make a decent run in 2026. More American players as European first division regulars than ever in our history. Win it? No - but especially as a host nation, a semifinal run is the sort of ambition they should have under Pochettino.

If anyone has Premier Sports as part of their Virgin package, it's free for August. This means La Liga games, starting of which tonight.

 

In bad news, the issues surrounding TV deals in France, means no coverage in the UK over Ligue Un and Serie A are only showing two games a weekend on TNT (with an eye to showing the rest on the internet).

Yeah they are. 

 

They've got the Real Madrid game this Sunday. 

This is their last season in their current contract though.

DFB/German football association have a streaming service dfbplay.tv, looks like they’ve got all the DFB Pokal games on there

 

3rd tier Rot-Weiss Essen 1-0 up against RB Leipzig after 2 minutes

Angel Gomes was knocked out by a Rennes player, who was then sent off. 

 

Thankfully Gomes regained consciousness and was taken to hospital.

One football, some streaming service got the other Serie A games. Free this weekend but speculating it’s a pay service after that

That certainly was not smart.

 

Interesting to see how Mbappe fares in a proper league. I'm sure he will do well once they get a bit of chemistry. There's just so much talent there.

The front 4 of Vini, Rodrygo, Bellingham and Mbappe is scary if it clicks.

Crowd didn't sound very happy at Stamford bridge.

 

Some boos when they went into half time at 0-0 and more boos even when 1 - 0 whenever their players played it back to defence rather than attack.

 

Big difference between being happy with results, and being happy with how the team plays.

 

Can't see Enzo being accepted easily there even if he ends up doing a good job just because his footballs so negative and soul destroying.
