I'm not averse to signing a 31 year old. He's played a lot of games at PL level and his fitness record is pretty good. Not every signing is going to be of regular starting calibre, you way up our squad, ideally we need 3-4 signings of regular starting calibre, then about another 3-4 that will add depth, the wing being one of those depth areas.
