Oooooh we've found a seed oil nonce. Let me guess you follow Tonic Health?

Seed oil in the UK vs Seed oil in the UK are two very different things... unfortunately the Tonic Health bloke is pedling missinformation based on US studies.

Was only 10 years ago Rapeseed oil was the next big health trend.

What on earth is a seed oil nonce? I presume you mean US not UK vs UK.

Whats your beef with the tonic health guy? I think generally he promotes healthy living and unprocessed foods, which is the complete opposite of pepsico which I think the original discussion was about.

I'd like to see sources for alot of these claims . As through previous personal experience I know for a fact PepsiCo look after and pay staff and suppliers above the market rate and are very much on it when it comes to Human rights and total allow Union membership.

Not saying they're are perfect but I'd sooner them than alot of multi nationals on the front of our shirts .

It's generally overseas that the really bad stuff happens - in countries where it's easier for them to get away with it. By no means am I saying this is just Pepsico either, it's Coke, it's Nestle, it's most multinationals.

Union busting:

Palm oil:

There's plenty of stuff all over google if you search it. But we're getting off track - I think any companies that can afford to sponsor a PL club likely have unethical business practices at best.

I'm not going to defend them as i have zero links with them and don't have the knowledge on the facts like you both obviously do have. One thing is for sure i dont think you could find a shirt sponsor in the premier league that is a completely ethical company and unfortunately it is a sad state of affairs that we currently live in.

Oh yeah I agree entirely, they're all bastards.

Yes, typo apologies.

He's like all the other pseudo nutritionists on social media. Massively Hypocritical, the gummies he sells contain things he tells you not to eat in his annoying supermarket videos.

Also the rise of these unqualified people place a lot of guilt on folks who buy whatever they can to keep their family fed and watered.

Just hate the rise in the unqualified people. Especially when the entire point of his channel is to drive people towards the product he sells. He doesn't really care.

He got me into Jasons sourdough, I'm eternally grateful.

I get your point though.

a VERY quick good search....

American Express - The massive credit card company American Express has been fined 112 million dollars to settle accusations from regulators that it was charging its customers with unlawful and unethical late fees and deceived them into paying off debts unnecessarily and buying new lines of credit without being obligated to do so

Standard Chartered - The bank has twice admitted breaching sanctions against Iran and other countries - first in 2012 and then in 2019 - paying fines totalling more than $1.7bn. But it has not admitted conducting transactions for “terrorist” organisations

banks are just as scummy as gambling companies imo.

I mean coca-cola literally had trade unionists in Colombia murdered back in the 90s, and PepsiCo had child labour in its supply chains until very recently. like, not to go rabid communist but there is a reason the saying "no ethical consumption under capitalism" exists (and why it was a core plot point of the good place). The only ethical shirt sponsor is no shirt sponsor, because there's not really any such thing as an ethical company under a capitalist system (if I were to go full communist here I'd talk about how capitalism is inherently unethical because profit can only exist in the form of wage theft, but no-one wants that argument in here)

we're massive

It's two billion views now. This is the equivalent to 25% of every man, woman and child on the planet having seen a tweet about a moody betting company sponsoring us. 😂

We are so dodgy it's unreal.

In fairness, Communism doesn't have the most ethical history either.
