Spain vs France - Tuesday, 9th July @ 20:00

Spain's real injuries v fake injuries today do confirm the time-honoured rules.

1. Injured players do not slap the ground repeatedly.

2. Injured players do not roll around, as they want to keep the injured body part still.

3. Non-injured faking players look like they are auditioning for a retrospective documentary on the birth of breakdancing.

Agree with posters who said that Dembele isn’t as good as the media make out.

He’s very direct but his final product is so inconsistent.

And re Rabiot, there is no way on earth he should start above Camavinga. He strikes me as that type of player who’s been around for yonks and has too much influence. Almost like Deschamps feels he ‘has to’ play him.

That said, I’m surprised tbh. I thought France would sneak this tonight.

But it’s good that a team who’s had a really good go, right from the off, has made it to the final.

Rodri has to be the best holding midfielder in the world I suspect.

I'm intruigued as to how good a manager De La Fuente is.

Basically given a career of service to club and international youth teams until being given the Spain senior gig.

63 already but could be an intruiguing end to his career if he decides to give senior club management a go.

Guess one argument is that he's had a hard slog to get to this point so he would deserve any success that comes his way

That's how I feel about Giroud. If someone told me he was an unused sub in the France 98 world cup winning squad my instinctive reaction probably wouldn't question it
