Popular Post davieG Posted 20 July Popular Post Share Posted 20 July Leigh CurtisDerby County Writer 11:24, 20 JUL 2024 UPDATED11:34, 20 JUL 2024 Foxes receive transfer snub Leicester City’s pursuit of Matias Soule looks to be all but over with the Juventus attacker said to be snubbing a move to the Premier League. City have been prominently linked with Soule for the past couple of weeks, vying with Roma for his signature. But while it initially seemed the transfer battle would be won by whichever club met Juventus’s asking price, the 21-year-old’s own preference looks set to be decisive. It was previously reported that, while Soule was leaning towards a prolonged stay in Serie A, he was not against a move to City. But on Wednesday night, Gazzetta dello Sport reported Soule has definitively decided Roma is his next destination and that he has no desire to move to City nor West Ham, the other Premier League side credited with interest. The Italian capital is just an hour from where Soule spent last season, on loan at Frosinone, while he has friends already at Roma in fellow Argentinians Paulo Dybala and Leandro Paredes. It’s said he feels it would be easier to integrate into life at Roma than it would be to do so in England. All that is needed is an agreement between Roma and Juventus and the capital club have now submitted a bid of €25m plus €5m in bonuses. That’s the same offer City were reported to have made. Giuseppe Labellarte Sat 20 July 2024 16:45, UKUpdated Sat 20 July 2024 17:07, UK Matias Soule chooses Leicester over Premier League rivals As per the report, Soule is ‘believed to fancy a move to the 2015/16 Premier League champions (Leicester) and has rejected offers from Napoli, Villa, Palace, Newcastle and Brentford to do so.’ Better yet for Soule and Leicester, Juve are reportedly ready to accept the Foxes’ £21million offer, while the player has apparently agreed personal terms with the King Power side. Juve will then use that money to launch a move for Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho, added the report.

Anyone remember when we were looking for £60-£70m for Mahrez and they came in with a £15m offer and were flabbergasted when rejected. Great negotiation Yep, I remember with fondness trolling their deluded fans when they flooded Foxestalk one night

Pliskin Posted 21 July Share Posted 21 July Even if we do sign him, the Italian press will just photo shop a Roma shirt into his hands, and have a headline similar to…… “Juve star viciously snubs premier league club to seal a triumphant move to Roma”

That's an argument for shutting the Transfer Forum and just post in the LCFC forum when the OS announces the signings. You may as well suggest shutting the LCFC until the Spurs game. Collymore Posted 21 July Share Posted 21 July If not signing him means more chance for Alves to establish himself next season then I'm too bothered if this comes off. I'd prefer the money to be spent on a striker.

mozartfox Posted 21 July Share Posted 21 July According to Il Tempo, Leicester City appear to have dropped out of the race, leaving Roma as the clear favorites to sign Soulé. The ‘locking hour’ is fast approaching. We have done our job in helping Juve achieve a Few Dollars more. Seems like we have been stars in a Spaghetti Western.
