Most of this is being translated from Italian, whose journalists are off their tits most of the time anyway and every transfer is described as if it was Romeo and Juliet. However what the Italian journalists have managed to do is create a narrative that there is a genuine battle for his signature and the ebb and flow of is he signing for us or Roma has had LCFC, Roma and Juve fans drawn into a saga that may not exist. If the bid from United was slightly lower than the bid from us, the player would push harder for a move to United and Juve would probably more inclined to accept.
