Percy is a journalist, he has many sources he has less information fed to him from within the club now, but he still has access to information as a journalist. Italian sources are very loose lipped, mainly because they whip up frenzies, a lot of it rubbish. Don’t be naive to think that we’ve told Percy that we’ve slung a bid in and it’s a matter of time until it is done……. Percy would have got his information from the wider footballing network, that we’ve placed a bid, and the club were hopeful they could strike a deal….. there’s nothing concrete about that. People have misinterpreted this as a done deal due to Percy usually only revealing nailed on deals, but in this case, he was merely saying we’re part of a bidding war started by Juve…. Someone said he had sources outside the club - of course he does but imo, he wouldn’t go public on anything without a nod from his sources within.
