They might not want to sell for less than 40m euros but that doesn't mean they can hold on for that. The Italian press have always been defiantly out of touch with the reality of their situations. Yet Italian teams regularly haggle obligations and low ball all of the time. They'll take players on loan from elsewhere in Europe but as soon as they get a valuation for a permanent deal they back out.
