We have not spent the money we have to send him out on loan - before we got relegated we may have spent £15m for potential but not this season and not likely to do so again in the near future!

Maybe he will be given time in today's game as it's inferior competition....he was really poor in pre-season

He looked awful IMO. Couldn't trap a bag of cement.

Nelson must be wondering what hell is going on.

Loan for Nelson.... He's probably already looking and booked a taxi

He is vary raw, but has a lot of the good attributes, size, physicality and pace.

I not sure of the obsession to compare him and Nelson, we have to develop players we can't put all out eggs in one basket.

Sounds like Amartey. I hope he’s like Amartey, just better at defending and football in general.

* No disrespect to Big Dan. Top man!

Not sure why the obsession about comparing with Nelson, again like Alves and Facundo, Okoli has clear benefitted from his loan with Frosione and that gives him a massive advantage in terms of experience and dealing with top level football.

Nelson desperately needs a season on loan to play 30+ games and gain that much needed experience and know how. I actually think in 12 months Okoli and Nelson could be a very good partnership especially if we do drop back into the championship.

Looked not bad, but he wasn't really tested, let's face it, it was a league 2 side.

That full on Amartey style brain fart is a worry. It was such a silly mistake.

Loved the way Coady appeared to have an encouraging word with him, rather than bollocking him, after his lapse of concentration. Liked the way he attacked the ball coming in from crosses, but like others have said, Tranmere are hardly a test of what he's going to face in the Premier League.
